Summary of Presentation: The growing field of somatic psychotherapy recognizes what many Eastern traditions have taught for hundreds of years: our emotions and our bodies are connected.

Phoenix Rising (Yoga) THERAPY merges the ancient wisdom of a mindful practice with the client-centered approach of Carl Rogers.  It offers a technique to help clients connect with their inner experience, release layers of physical and emotional tension/holding, and find (experientially rather than theoretically) the strength to change.

This EXPERIENTIAL workshop offers tools on how to allow experience to be as it is, without judging or fixing.  Having “Unconditional Positive Regard” for feelings as body experiences, builds “emotional muscle”.  People who practice this find themselves able to act mindfully even in moments when they previously were “out-of-control”.
